Council of Catholic Women
Our Mission
The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) acts through its members to support, empower and educate all Catholic women
in spirituality, leadership and service. NCCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world.
Membership
Holy Rosary Parish is privileged to have an active Council of Catholic Women (CCW), an organization with a long tradition
of serving our church and community. Our membership includes all women of the parish, 18 years and older. Meetings are on the first Monday of the month at 6:30pm in the Parish Center of Holy Rosary, except for September which meets on the first Tuesday of the month. (No meetings in January or June-August).
Our CCW activities and projects need to continue for the good of the parish. We help make Holy Rosary a great place to worship and find fellowship. For the success of these events, we need your continued support. Each woman of the parish is asked to help support CCW financially if she is able. The suggested donation is $20.00. If you are unable to help financially, we ask your support through prayer. Events include:
- Recycle Sale - August
- Fall Luncheon in October
- Advent Bake Sale (first weekend in December)
- CCW Christmas Party
- Palm Sunday Bake Sale
- Mother's Day Plant Sale (three day event)
- Reception after Confirmation
For more information about CCW involvement at Holy Rosary, please call the parish office at 387-6501.
The Sewing/Craft Group is part of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW). We are a small group that meets September through May on Wednesday afternoons, from 1:00 to 4:00, at the Parish Center.
We work mainly on hand loomed rugs and baby quilts during this tme. Many also do sewing (aprons, tablerunners, pot holders, large quilts, etc.) and handiwork projects (embroidery, knitting, crocheting, etc.) at home.
The completed items are sold at the CCW Salad Luncheon in October. Items can also be purchased year round.
We welcome visitors or new volunteers.
